JEE Main & Advanced Colleges by Rank

General/Open Category • All Genders

Find NIT and IIIT colleges based on your JEE rank. Explore seat allocations, previous year cutoffs, and placement records for all engineering specializations.

Your JEE Rank & College Eligibility

Based on your JEE Main or JEE Advanced rank and category, you're eligible for admission to premier engineering institutions including NITs and IIITs. This data shows colleges where students with similar ranks have secured admission in recent years.

Your Rank: 232001 (General/Open, All Genders)

Lower ranks are better. These are premium engineering institutions with excellent academics, infrastructure, and placement records.

📊 About Seat Allocations

The data shows seat availability across:

  • • All engineering branches
  • • Multiple categories (Open, OBC, SC, ST, EWS)
  • • Different counseling rounds
  • • Various quota types

💡 Selection Strategy

  • ✓ Compare multiple specializations
  • ✓ Consider college location & infrastructure
  • ✓ Check placement outcomes
  • ✓ Verify round-wise cutoff trends

⚠️ Important: Cutoff scores change each year based on difficulty level and competition. Always check official JEE NTA website for latest notifications and your category seat availability.

Understanding JEE Cutoffs

JEE cutoffs are the minimum rank required to secure a seat in a specific college and branch. They vary based on:

Factors Affecting Cutoffs

  • 📌 Specialization: CSE cutoffs are higher than Civil
  • 📌 Category: Open category has higher cutoffs
  • 📌 Round: Cutoffs change in each counseling round
  • 📌 Institute Tier: Top NITs have highest cutoffs

Course Cutoff Hierarchy

Typical cutoff order (highest to lowest):

  1. 1. Computer Science (CS)
  2. 2. Electronics (ECE)
  3. 3. Mechanical (ME)
  4. 4. Electrical (EE)
  5. 5. Civil (CE)

💡 Tip: If your rank is near the cutoff, choose the course wisely. Securing a lower specialization at a better college is often better than a preferred course at a lower-tier institute.

JEE College Selection FAQ

How is JEE seat allocation determined?

JEE Main qualifying candidates are ranked, and seats are allocated based on marks, rank, and preferences chosen during counseling. Separate merit lists exist for each category. Counseling happens in multiple rounds with cutoff changes in each round.

What's the difference between Round 1, 2, 3 cutoffs?

In Round 1, cutoffs are strict (higher ranks needed). As rounds progress and seats fill, cutoffs may relax slightly. Round 1 cutoffs are generally the highest. Later rounds only have remaining seats. Always aim for earlier rounds if possible.

Should I aim for top college + lower branch or better branch + lower college?

Generally, a top college (like IIT/NIT Tier-1) is preferred even if the branch is less popular. Better institute brand, faculty, and placements often matter more than branch choice. Placements for most branches at top colleges are excellent.

Can cutoffs change significantly year to year?

Yes. Cutoffs vary based on exam difficulty, number of qualified candidates, and seat availability. Use 2-3 years of historical data to understand trends. This year's difficulty and competition will affect final cutoffs.

How accurate is historical cutoff data?

Historical data is accurate and sourced from official JEE NTA counseling results. However, it's a guide, not a guarantee. Current year's cutoffs depend on new factors. Use this as reference; always check official notifications for final admission status.
