1. Who we are

Kalvimarg (“we”, “us”) provides school operations, digital tuition, college admission information (JEE / TNEA), and an education shop through our website at https://kalvimarg.com and the Kalvimarg Android and iOS applications (the “Services”).

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account data: name, email, phone number, profile photo (if you provide one), password hash (email/password accounts) or identifiers from Google Sign-In.
• School and tuition data: school code, class, attendance, fees, homework, announcements, guardian/student links, tutor bookings and session details, as entered by you or by your school/tutor.
• College search: ranks, categories, and search filters you enter (not used to identify you unless you are logged in).
• Device and app data: device type, OS, app version, and (if you allow notifications) an Expo / FCM / APNs push token.
• Live video (tuition): camera and microphone are used only during a live class you join. We use them for real-time communication; we do not use live video as a marketing dataset.
• Shop: product views, affiliate click-throughs, and order details if you checkout on Kalvimarg.
• Usage analytics: approximate region and page/app events via Google Analytics 4 (IP anonymization is enabled where configured).

3. How we use information

• Create and authenticate accounts (including Google OAuth).
• Operate school, tuition, shop, and college-search features you request.
• Send transactional notices (e.g. session reminders) and, if enabled, push notifications.
• Improve reliability, security, and support.
• Comply with law and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use school student records for third-party advertising.

4. Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile (name, and photo if shared) so we can create or link your Kalvimarg account. We do not get access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data unless you separately grant that. You can revoke access in your Google Account permissions.

5. Permissions on the mobile app

• Internet: required to use the app.
• Camera and microphone: only for live tuition video, when you join a session. You can refuse; live video will not work.
• Notifications: optional. If granted, we store a device push token to deliver alerts. You can turn this off in system settings.

6. Sharing with service providers

We use processors who process data on our instructions, for example:

• Google (Sign-In, Analytics).
• Expo / Apple / Google (push delivery).
• Hosting and database providers that run kalvimarg.com.
• Payment or affiliate partners if you use Shop (e.g. Amazon affiliate links, payment gateways).

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the Services.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and school/tuition records while your account or school subscription is active and as needed for operations, disputes, and legal requirements. Push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing [email protected] from the same address you registered with. School-owned student records may also be managed by the school administrator.

8. Children and students

Kalvimarg is used by schools, parents, and tutors in an education context. Parents or schools typically create or link student profiles. We do not knowingly use children’s data for advertising. If you believe a child has provided data inappropriately, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and hashed passwords for credential accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please keep your login details confidential.

10. Your choices

• Access or update profile details in the app or website where available.
• Disable camera, microphone, or notifications in device settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of personal data via the contact email above.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
