From the College Website PSN College of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 2001 by great visionaries and is headed by the managing trustee and chairman Dr.P.Suyambu, a multifarious personality and admirable academic brilliance.
They strive to achieve academic excellence by futuristic outlook in the field of education in a well-disciplined environment through commitment to continuous improvement in all areas, involvement of people at all levels and through up-gradation of infrastructure and human resources.
The college is located at Melathediyoor, Tirunelveli; unfolding its grandeur over 150 acres of land, the college exhibits an attractive panorama conducive to studies. Keeping a holistic approach to life and education, an ambient infrastructure is provided for the students. A natural sanctuary of birds, magnificent scenery of evergreen trees, amazing mountains and beautiful garden of multicolored flowers are sure to draw you into the campus.
This institution aims at educating and training its students to become not only competent professionals, but also excellent human beings to influence the quality of life of people around. Today this institution has been recognized u/s (2f) by UGC, accredited by NAAC with A Grade and the four departments namely CSE, IT, Marine and ECE have been accredited by NBA. This is an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution.
PSN College of Engineering and Technology has been conferred Autonomy status by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The autonomy status provides the college to fulfill the aspirations of the students in getting quality education and better placement. The main objectives of the college under autonomy status will be,
- To exercise the academic freedom in determining their own courses of study with the curriculum and syllabus prescribed by them with industry collaborations,
- To provide courses and parallel learning programmes for better professionalism,
- To evaluate and assess the performance of students through innovative examination process;
- To use modern tools of educational technology to achieve higher standards and greater creativity; and
- To promote healthy practices such as community service, extension activities, projects for the benefit of the society at large, neighborhood programmes, etc.
