The Institute is founded and promoted by the Annamalayar Educational and Charitable Trust, Kararikudi. Thiru. V. Ayyappan, a profound businessman is the Chairman of the Trust. Thiru. P. Elayaperumal, F.C.A., an auditor by profession is the Secretary of the Trust and Er. P. Ramasubramanian, is the Treasurer. The Trust envisions establishing a quality engineering and management institution, with ‘A’ class facilities. Besides, the trust has a genuine concern for the development of the needy and underprivileged community, especially in the rural area of South Tamil Nadu. Karaikudi, a Heritage Town of Chettinad culture, is situated in Sivagangai District and known as the capital of Chettinad. Kararikudi is an educational hub with many Engineering institutions, polytechnics, ITI’s and Arts and Science Colleges around, besides Alagappa University and CECRI."
