The Mohamed Educational Charitable Trust (MECT), Tiruchirapalli established in the year 2000 by Founder, Alhaj. Er.A.Mohamed Yunus. B.E., M.Sc (Engg.) with Dr.A. Sirajudeen, M.B.B.S., D.A., a leading Doctor as Chairman, Mr.A. Siddique Ahamed the correspondent as industrialist and Dr.M.Y. Abdul Jaleel , M.Tech., Ph.D., an industrialist -cum-educationist as Secretary cum Managing Trustee, with a Philanthropic outlook to promote higher education in several disciplines, also to extend Guidance and support for the needy in the backward areas of Tiruchirapalli and Pudukottai districts. The main objective of the M.E.C.T. Trust is to provide educational opportunities for the youth and raise them as competent engineers, high caliber scientists, industrial & business managers, scholars and mould then us useful citizens of our nation by establishing and running high-class educational and training institutions. Also provide educational opportunity for the rural centric and Muslim minority students."
