Kings College of Engineering is an institution which was formed with the singular aim of providing quality education to the poor and under-privileged students of the region. Our steps are measured and taken with our goal in mind, which is to become a renowned institution where knowledge is a way of life. We at Kings value the gift of Knowledge but do not put a price tag on it. We remain strong in our policy of ""No Donations and No Capitation"" and have focused in admitting students strictly on the basis of merit. Due consideration is given to the economical state of the family in admitting students from the under-privileged sections of the community. I am happy to note that the students from Thanjavur and adjoining districts have fared significantly over the state-wide average in the recent higher secondary examinations. I take pride in the fact that Kings had made noteworthy contributions to this commendable success. Kings organized a series of workshops on examination skills for higher secondary students in Pudukottai, Thanjavur and Mannargudi which were widely appreciated by one and all. As a gesture of encouragement to our students, it gives me immense pleasure in announcing a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh ) for students who secure Top Ten University Ranks and a cash prize of Rs.50,000 ( Rupees Fifty Thousand) for students securing ranks between eleven and twenty.
