A humble beginning of service to the society began with the establishment of Dhanaraj Baid Jain College (Arts & Science) in 1972. The relentless pursuit of service exhibited by the Founder Trustees of Team Trust, particularly the efforts of Dr. C.L. Metha, Sri.M.Lalchand Munoth – the chairman of the Trust, who made a handsome donation of Rs. 10 lakhs, enabled the start of Misrimal Navajee Munoth Jain Polytechnic in 1984. Which is named after Sri. Misrimal Navajee Munoth, father of Sri. M. Lalchand Munoth. With the rich educational administrative experience of the trustees and the zeal of Dr.C.L.Metha, supported by many donors, several philanthropists, well wishers and the Directorate of Technical Education, the polytechnic made an all round progress. A further donation of Rs.15 lakhs by Sri. M. Lalchand Munoth and the approval of AICTE, New Delhi, enabled the polytechnic to be upgraded into Misrimal Navajee Munoth Jain Engineering College, which started functioning from the academic year 1994-1995.
