Kings Engineering College is a Christian Minority Self financing college. The Kings Engineering College was established in 2001. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, for providing high quality technical education. It has been affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The College has a total strength of more than 1200 students and faculty of more than 120 teaching and non-teaching staff. Administration The college is run by the Rajammal Duraisamy Educational and Health Trust, a Registered Trust of public nature for educational and charitable purposes. It is managed by the Rajam Group of companies that also manages the Queens Land Amusement park and the star category Resort Hotel- Pleasant Days Hotel. Objectives of the Trust To uplift the techno-social status of youth through various Under Graduate Engineering degree programs. To irrevocably commit to the noble task of uplifting the economically weaker sections of the community in this region, thus enhancing their economic status with the support of our benevolent trustees. The Vision of our Trust is to build our college as an inimitable center of Excellence for Higher Education sworn by total Quality Management at all levels. To organize Campus interviews regularly every year and ensure placement of students. To depute students for In-plant Training in reputed Industries every year. To promote and maintain a cordial rapport with Industries in this region to extend training facilities to the students, as a part of our curriculum activities. To train the students in Sports activities regularly so that they achieve excellence in sports at State level and University level. To train students in social service."
