"From the College Website

The Ayanavaram Educational Trust was formed in the year 1980 by our founder Chairman Alhaj.K.Moosa, with a noble aim of promoting social and technical higher education. The college was started in the year 2001. It is a Muslim minority institution approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to the Anna University. The prime concern of the entire institution is to develop creativity that technology anticipates and impart quality education to enable students to build a great future for themselves. DACE is ideally located on a sprawling and elegantly landscaped area campus. The pride of DACE is its highly qualified and experienced faculty and its excellent infrastructural facilities Our Founder-Chairman Alhaj.K.Moosa is the anchorman of this college and our Secretary Mr. M.Kader Shah is a source of inspiration to all the students. The college has seven distinctive departments, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Mechanical Engineering BE(MECH)), Information Technology (B.Tech), Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA). B.E. Civil Engineering is in the anvil. The active Placement Cell of our college paves way to the dreams of our students. Several campus interviews are held which enable the students to get a wider exposure. Sports is a never ending activity in our college. The college includes well laid out sports field for various sports activities. The college believes in giving as much emphasis to sports as to academics. The college Library comprises of a knowledge resource with over 40,000 books. This is accessible to the students any time. National level symposiums are conducted in each department annually. Students are also encouraged to present papers at seminars and in the process get a hands on experience. The hostel, Dhaanish Mahal, is a place of brotherhood - a home away from home. Hostel facility is available for both men and women students. The college has a fleet of buses that ply from several vantage points of the city, for the convenience of local students. We inculcate the social responsibility of a student through the NSS, YRC, ECO-Club, and the Red Ribbon Club. Students are provided with different scholarships according to their eligibility. University rank holders and college toppers are honored with special scholarships. Hygienic food and refreshments at a reasonable cost is provided in the canteen. Stationary items are also made available. We have Signed mou with the following Industries Pragna Micro Design Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore Maples ESM Technologies, Chennai The Industrial Estate Manufacture's Association, Guindy, TamilNadu Sutherland Global Services Industrial Visits As part of the curriculum our students go for Industrial visits regularly, at least 6 in a year. Industrial trips are also arranged out side the city and the state every year for a duration of about a week. The Tours enable students to face the industrial environment and update themselves on various technical activities. Industry - Institutes - Interaction Cell (I.I.I) The Industry - Institutes - Interaction cell (I.I.I.) of our college is functioning with the following objectives and an efficient utilization of the various resources available in our college such as infrastructure, academic excellence and intellectual assets. Having constant and consistent relation with the industries for a mutual benefit.. To organize workshops, symposia, seminars, industrial visits and additional programmes for latest updates. To help the students to under go in-plant training and industrial projects. To encourage in-house projects in various fields of Engineering, Technology, Computer Applications and Management Studies in collaboration with industries. To realize and bring out the full potential of goodness in them. To establish and widen the industrial collaboration across the country and overseas. To encourage the students and faculty to do industrial / research projects. To motivate entrepreneurship among the students. To provide value-added practical education to the students. To have continuous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with top notch industries, institutions, foreign universities etc., to share the intellectual assets, infrastructure and other facilities. Guest Lectures The curriculum has to be updated at regular intervals catering to the needs of the industry and profession, with an eye on the of rapidly changing technologies. This goal can be achieved to a certain extent by guest lectures and extension lectures which are a regular feature in DACE. In - Plant Training In-Plant training is essential for creating a professional and to gain knowledge of the latest industrial practices and fast changing technologies. This will help them in getting placement in appropriate industries. It is made compulsory for all the third year students to go for one month industrial training at the end of the sixth semester. As a result our students get placed in reputed concerns. Teaching AIDS Overhead projectors are provided in each class room. Since all the complicated diagrams can be prepared before - hand and projected using an OHP, teachers get more time to explain the difficult topics and are able to solve more problems. Cassettes and CD'S are available for important topics in all the subjects. Teachers will use the CD and Cassettes of their subjects in the seminar halls. All the seminar halls have an LCD, an overhead and slide projector with Digital Audio System and multimedia system."
